God Ordained Trilogy

Turning 65 years old can have a profound affect on people; I know for I marked my 65th in March of this year.  Reaching this goal can throw one into the depths of depression or it can open up un-trodden horizons and present fresh challenges and opportunities. In my case the latter has proven to be true.

For the past several months I have been home schooling our eleven year old grandson, and in the years ahead I would like to home school other grandchildren as well. Home schooling with all its rewards has turned out to be more time consuming than I previously thought, but the rewards have certainly paid off for both Joshua and myself.

In addition to home schooling, I maintain a small vegetable garden, tend a large yard, and care for 16 laying chickens.  Each of these ventures has exceeded the original boundaries I previously anticipated. But my latest bucolic venture appears even more of a challenge than the aforementioned.  We are now at the nascent stage of being bee keepers. After weeks of research, and getting our hives ready I realize I am not ready for this undertaking, but we will attempt to undertake it just the same.

This is even more evident in my latest undertaking of writing my current article. I have entitled it: “A God Ordained Trilogy - “Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jews". I call it a trilogy because each one is a story of its own, and they sing out their own songs in unison, entitled “Chosen” throughout scripture.

Through a series of events I realized I have let one of our core proclamations slide in our mission statement and this proclamation is #3.

We urge the United States to unequivocally stand by the Nation of Israel and for believers in Yeshua (Jesus) to also stand by Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

My future articles may not necessarily be in order on this Trilogy, but in time we will examine the following:

1. We will ask the simple but profound questions: Why Israel? Why Jerusalem? Why the Jews?

2. We will probe the far-reaching arms of Anti-Semitism, everything from “Replacement Theology" to Anti-Semitism in our own government. We will dive into the murky and polluted waters of Islam, and unveil it as one of Israel’s deadliest enemies. We will expose perhaps Israel's deadliest enemy of all - the Jews themselves, who are not Jews, but are from the household of satan.  As we continue our dive we will explore the more cryptic waters, the so-called conspiracy theories regarding Free Masonry, The Illuminati, and powerful names that most have heard of, like the Rothschild’s. While we are in these almost uninhabitable waters we will take an austere look at our current president and expose his Anti-Semitic heart and his plan, to not only continue to dismantle this country, but to reconstruct it into a dominant socialist Islamic led nation. Yet, we will pray for President Obama that the Lord will reveal Himself to him and change his heart!

3. We will survey our (believers') Jewish roots.

4. We will investigate Israel and the Last Days as well as current events.

But these will only scratch the surface and in time I hope to at least dig out and cultivate a better understanding of the God ordained trilogy - Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jews.

Why Israel? Why Jerusalem?

How can a tiny country which is only one hundred fifty miles long and a mere fifty miles wide have any significance in world affairs?

To give a fair comparison Israel is about the same size as New Jersey. The country of France could hold 26 nations of Israel. Jerusalem is not located on any important trade routes. So what is its importance?

I am writing about a God ordained trilogy. In the Holy Scriptures there are other types of holy trilogies, such as: Faith, Hope, and Charity. They go together. I used to sing a little song by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. If you are under forty those names might be meaningless, but the song went like this.

"Have faith, hope, and charity, that’s the way to live successfully. How do I know? The Bible tells me so."

Yes, these three words: Faith, hope, and charity (love), are not only important but a must, not only for successful living but are paramount for a true believer!  They are God - breathed.  In addition they declared their importance by the number of times they are mentioned in the Holy Scriptures.  In the King James Bible the word "faith" appears 257 times, the word "hope" appears 129 times, and the word "love" appears 310 times.  They are indeed powerful words! They are part of our foundation!

Yet, if you look up the word Jerusalem, you will find it mentioned 811 times.  This is more than faith, hope, and love combined.  Then, when you do a search on the subject of Israel, you will find it is mentioned 2,565 times.  What does all this mean? Maybe nothing, but maybe it means everything!

It would appear that these words are extremely important. In fact I submit to you they play a momentous role in Holy Scripture, and they are inestimable and cherished in the heart   of God. It certainly should give those who deny the importance of Jerusalem and Israel something to ponder.

I am not an Israel worshiper, or a Jew worshiper, or a Jerusalem worshiper. That would be sure folly, as well as blatant blasphemy! Israel is far from perfect; it is just as sinful and libidinous as the United States. Tel Aviv wants to be known as the “gay capital of the world”. Evil treats all races and regions equally and our unique trilogy is no exception. In fact, satan has had his sights on this trilogy since their birth.

Jerusalem or in Hebrew spelled (Yerushalayim) has been called by many other names such as Salem, Mount Moriah, Urah, Jebus, Zion, the City of David, and Ariel (Lion of God).

Before I die I would love to walk the streets of Jerusalem.

Spiritually speaking, Jerusalem, particularly Mount Moriah, i.e., the temple Mount and the surrounding area, is without question the most important piece of real-estate on planet earth.

Jerusalem has been viewed as the central city of the world. Many ancient maps show Jerusalem as the center of the world.

According to Jewish sages, God began His creation of the Universe in this location. They say, and I agree, that Jerusalem had to be the Garden of Eden.  God created Adam, the Hebrew word for "man". Ultimately it could be derived from Hebrew אדם ('adam) meaning “red". The Dust of Moriah is said to have been used to create Adam who was later placed in the garden which lay to the East.

According to more Jewish tradition, it was in this area that Adam first offered sacrifices as did his two sons Cain and Abel.

According to the Torah, it was on Mount Moriah that Avram (Abram) met Malki Tzedek, (Melchizedek) King of Salem (Genesis 14:17-20).

A peculiar aspect of this meeting is that Avram (Abraham) had bread and wine with Melek Tzedek (Melchizedek) and then gave him a tenth of all he had.

Several years later in this same location according to Genesis 22, Avraham (Abraham) was tested by God to sacrifice Yitz’chak (Isaac). This is prophetic of Yeshua being the true sacrifice without spot or blemish.

It was on Mt. Moriah that Isaac met his bride; this also has prophetic significance as regards the Bride or the Church.

It was in this area, a few miles North of Jerusalem that Ya’akov (Jacob) had his prophetic dream of a ladder reaching toward heaven and the angels of Adonai (God) were ascending and descending on the ladder.

Who or what was that ladder?  Who or what did the ladder represent? It was Yeshua! (Jesus)  He said in John 1:51 “Truly, truly, I say unto you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

Mount Moriah, is identified in 1 Chronicles 21 as the location of, Ornan, The Jebusite’s threshing floor. King David bought it for 600 shekels of gold. The Holy Spirit of God moved David to make this purchase.  This purchase was a crucial plan and it demonstrated that the Jews received this area through a legal transaction. They have never sold the rights to Mount Moriah. Remember, Ornan wanted to give the land to David, but he wisely chose to purchase it.  Today, any and all occupation of it is by theft only, and no one else should be there!!

Mount Moriah is where Solomon built his Temple. According to the Talmud God Himself named Jerusalem. The name Jerusalem has two parts: Yira which means “to teach” and Shalam, which means “peace”

Yeshua (Jesus) called it “City of the Great King” in Matt. 5:35.

Yeshua was crucified in Jerusalem. His blood was splattered for you and me.  Jerusalem is where Yeshua was buried and then raised from the dead. The Church was birthed in Jerusalem. The writer of Hebrews called Jerusalem “the City of the Living God” (Hebrews 12:22). Jerusalem is where the third temple will be built, and praise God Jerusalem is where Yeshua will return!

The Bible says that the redeemed of the Lord will return to Zion.  The whole movement of history reflects this return.  Essentially humanity is returning to the garden where civilization began.

This area, Mount Moriah – The Temple Mount - is the most strategic 35 acres on the face of this earth.

For those of you who think Israel and Jerusalem are no different than any place else, the Bible emphatically says Au contraire!

Here it is simply put: God is God, and He chooses whom He chooses. Why didn’t He choose Texas as His chosen land, Austin as His capital, and Texans as His chosen people? Seriously speaking God is God, He is Sovereign and He chooses whom He Chooses!!

I am writing these articles for several reasons, but one reason illuminates more than all.  It is proclamation #3 of our Ministry statement.

We urge the United States to unequivocally stand by the Nation of Israel and for believers in Yeshua (Jesus) to also stand by Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

I have a grave concern that the United States will continue to distance itself from the Nation of Israel, and that distance could navigate into abandonment altogether. Still worse, that we stand against Israel outright along with a confederacy of other nations.

Let me be as candid as I possibly can be and add my important parenthetical note, and you may quote me:  If the United States ever stands against Israel, then I, with a visceral wave of sorrow and regret, will unconditionally execrate     my citizenship!

I cannot be any clearer on this, my statement stands alone!

How do you feel about Israel? I mean how do you really feel? Hate, love, indifference are all choices. I pray you will stand with God, with His chosen trilogy: The Jews, Israel, and Jerusalem.

I have made that decision and I cannot and will not back down!  But the real question is not as much whose side we are on but whose side is God on!

"Again, proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "My cities will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem.” ‘ “  Zechariah 1:17

The Holy Scriptures are clear that there is a time in the future that the nations of the world will gather against Jerusalem.

For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. Zechariah 14:2

If this country continues to mutate into the anti-Semitic beast it is shaping into, and if Obama is re-elected I will not stand with that beast, but disown it.

Jerusalem will find itself involved in one imbroglio after another.  It will not be easy to stand with Jerusalem, it may be most difficult, but to stand against her is to stand against God!   You will eventually have to make a decision as to whom you will stand with.  A non-decision is still a decision, and decisions of this magnitude are not often easy!

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. Zechariah 12:2

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. Zechariah 12:3

I pray you will choose Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jews, for God has already made that choice.

Now may the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob bless you through His Son Yeshua.

In His Service,

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

Note: Very Important!

I recently ran across a website that I hope you will check out.  It is hosted by Jim Gerrish. Brother Jim has some of the richest writings I have read regarding Israel. His site is entitled “Church and Israel Forum”
