Damning Choices

There were two boys born two years apart in two different countries. One boy was named Charlie the other named Nick.

Charlie was born on November 12, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He grew up in   abject poverty to an unwed 16 year old girl. He never knew his biological father. Some social service records indicate his biological   father was an African American which, Charlie strongly denied. He lived with different relatives, but early in life began to turn to crime. In one reformatory just weeks before he was to be paroled he sodomized a boy at knife point. Space does not permit me to write about all his crimes but by the time he was 32 years old he had spent one half of his life incarcerated.   He once stated he preferred prison over freedom. He was an icon of evil who founded a hippy cult known as “The Family”. His story is long, and filled with the most sordid wickedness and madness, but he will always be remembered for his actions on March 23, 1969 when he mastered minded the famous Sharon Tate murders. His name is Charles Manson and he is serving a life sentence in a California prison. 

Nick was born on December 6,  1938 in Piedros, Puerto Rico. His parents practiced witchcraft. His own mom called him
the “son of satan”. Nick was difficult to raise and was sent to live with his brother in New York. He only stayed with him a few weeks and then turned to the streets and to gangs. Nick was tough and soon was elected War Lord in one of the toughest gangs in New York; he was as evil as he was tough. He loved violence, hated God, and everyone else. Drugs, sex, and violence was his true trinity.  Yet one day he chose the God who chose him. His name is Nicky Cruz and he is now a leading Christian evangelist. He came to the Lord under the ministry of the late David Wilkerson, and his conversion story is depicted in the famous movie “Cross and the Switchblade”.

While both boys grew up under horrible circumstances; they made totally different choices. Perhaps we really are the result of our choices rather than our circumstances.

Our choices, as innocent and insignificant as many may seem, over the span of time weave the entire tapestry of our lives.

I think it is impossible to ever know how many choices the average person makes per day, but one study out of Minnesota suggested the average person makes at least 30,000 choices each day.

The Bible is bursting with example after example of choices.

Eve chose to believe satan and eat the forbidden fruit.

Adam chose to listen to his wife and chose not to obey a direct order from God. Lot chose to live in Sodom which cost him dearly. Lot’s wife chose to look back toward Sodom which cost her her life.

Esau chose to sell Jacob his birth right for a pot of lentil   soup. These are just a few in Genesis alone.

 One of the most gifted country singers who ever lived, the late George Jones, made a recording and a video   entitled “Choices”. In the video there are scenes of his arrest for a DWI and the tree he hit when he was drunk. The key line in the entire song is “living and dying with the choices I’ve made”.

As a country we are living and dying with the choices we have made and are making, and it’s those choices that will bury us in the pride from which they came.

My greatest and most devastating defeats have started every time with pride. I choose to obey me instead of God. I choose my desires over His will. My sins were more important than my obedience to God! I chose my will, my sin, my desires over His word, His law, and His will! Some of those choices have cost me dearly including perhaps permanently     damaging my children.

We have a president who is making choices. We elected Barack Hussein Obama twice and the question is how much will we suffer as the result of the damning choices he is making?  How long will this “anointed one” walk around with a bright nimbus above his head? Perhaps for a few the nimbus is fading and they can see the baleful gleam in his eye!

In a span of a few days Obama chose to congratulate an athlete for saying he was a homosexual, and applauded the ruling that allows a fifteen year old girl to purchase a little pill that will murder her little child. 

We are where we are today because of our choices, which are indeed damning and they are indeed our own.

There are several damning and grievous choices we have made that are having a galvanizing affect on this country! I will comment only on four of them.

Damning Choice Number One: Division            

There has been a division created among the people. We have never been more divided since shortly before and after the Civil War from 1861-1865.  This is by design and totally contrary to the promises made by Mr. Obama during his first campaign.  Mr. Obama promised two things in his first campaign: one, he would bring about change and two, he would unify this country as never before.  He certainly kept his promise regarding change, but on the latter he has done the antithesis. He failed miserably - or did he? I believe there are key people in government that are trying to inveigle us by using manipulation to put a wedge down the middle of this nation. If this division continues we could have another civil war. People are angry and a spark could ignite society into an inferno. The milieu is unstable and uncertain. So I ask again – Is this a broken campaign promise or is it by design?  Our house is divided and Obama is the head of the wrecking crew.  I believe Obama would love an attack on his life by a patriot conservative tea party type individual and that would be the spark to ignite not unite.

This is why only wise and prudent heads will prevail. We must be smart! We must deal in love, but never back down!   Yet I must be candid! Our country is also morally divided and we can never compromise on morality – never, never, never!!  I weep over the decadence and decay, but we must be intractable and never yield! I will focus on the nation’s morals later.

Damning Choice Number Two: Our Finances

Over the past decade our nation’s financial stability has been greatly sabotaged through excessive government debt. Since Obama has been in office he has chosen to raise the debt ceiling more then all the preceding presidents combined, according to several studies. Under the Obama administration the nation’s debt is now well over 6 trillion dollars.     But we are choosing to bring about our own financial ruin. We as individuals are addicted to plastic; we as a nation are on a “credit card craze”. We spend, and we spend - just like our government we continue to spend and it’s destroying us.   Just put it on the card. All this is designed to set  up a cashless society that will help pave a road for millions to welcome the anti-messiah.

Damning Choice Number Three: Our Military

Our military is being dismantled and rebuilt by politically correct leftists. Michael “Mikey” Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation who has been hired as an advisor to help write new policies on religious tolerance in our military said the following:
"Today, we face incredibly well-funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates in our nation's armed forces."  He argues that anyone who is guilty of proselytizing should be found guilty of sedition and treason and be punished to the full extent of the law.

“Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akahu” (Allah is the greatest) is what Major Nidal Hassan screamed as he gunned down 13 of his comrades and an unborn baby. But not to worry!  General Casey, the Army’s chief of staff, assured us that it could have been a whole lot worse. Our “good and bright” General said, “What happened at Fort Hood was a tragedy, but I believe it would be an even greater tragedy if our diversity becomes a casualty here.” Major Hassan should be executed and General Casey should be kicked out, and kicked out today! Our military is being dismantled piece by piece and shaped into something we do not want to see. Be aware of what is really going on in our military and be alarmed!   Why did we deny backup at Benghazi  when they begged for help? Why did the Obama administration   turn a deaf ear? Why did Insurgents shoot down a U.S. military helicopter during fighting in Eastern Afghanistan, killing 30 Americans, most of them belonging to the same elite unit as the Navy SEALs who killed former Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden Why? Why were they all together?

The intermeshing of sexes and promotion based on gender has led to rapes, low morale, and slow but sure mutation of men to produce more of an   androgynous military that promotes political correctness at all cost!

Is it sure stupidity or by design? We must wake up and see what is happening to our military. Too many are more interested in who’s dancing with the stars then what is happening not only in our military, but the world!

We must pray for our military as never before for one day you will not recognize it at all.

Damning Choice Number Four: The Moral Decline of Our Nation and the Church

There is an immoral storm of sewage filling every nook and cranny. While the Church should be the vanguard, too many churches are choosing to compromise and are making damning and deadly choices. There are evil iconoclasts intent on destroying the holiness of the Church, and in many cases their schemes are working.   Many churches have chosen to open the doors and throw the welcome mat down for same sex marriages. 

We have murdered 60 million innocent babies by sacrificing them on the altar of abortion since January 22, 1973. While that is certainly damning, I believe what is just as damning is the issue of “same sex marriage”.  It is interesting – they both destroy the family and when the family is destroyed so is the country. God created the family before He created the Church.

I have a relative who is a leader  in the Catholic Church who told me as long as two people loved one another who is he to oppose their marriage.  He should be ecstatic, for the state where he dwells, Minnesota, is the twelfth state to adopt “same sex marriage. Each day more people compromise and like a little “wusp” they say in a wimpy voice: “Well, I don’t like it, but if that’s what they want to do it’s OK with me.” 

Perhaps, the church’s most grievous sin is her tolerance to such things, but when we tolerate something long enough we will one day embrace it. 

I predict within five years or less, if the current trend continues, preachers, pastors, priests, and rabbis will be mandated to perform same sex marriages or lose their 501c3 status. We will have homosexual marriages recognized in all fifty states within five years or less. As we slide deeper into the sewage we will have laws in some states approving the “North American Man/Boy Love Association” (NAMBLA).  This is where men can have sex with young boys as long as the young boy approves.  

Perversion seems to be ubiquitous and God will one day say: Enough!!!! 

Will God turn us over to a reprobate mind? Do you know what the word reprobate means? Reprobate comes from the Latin word “reprobare”. It means lacking any sense of decency, thoroughly bad, wicked, amoral, corrupt, morally abandoned, and evil to the core. In theology the adjective reprobate means damned and predestined for damnation, and the noun means a person totally rejected by God and excluded from salvation. 

We live in a “sexurated” society and soon all our sins will coalesce  into an evil Cyclops who is out of control.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. A men for this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.²⁸ And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient KJV (God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome) Amplified Bible) Romans 1:25-28

Will God give us over? Perhaps He already has! Perhaps He already has! Our coup de grace may be upon us!

Many in our Churches have made Yeshua (Jesus) into a little wimpy, Westernized Messiah and molded Him into our own image!               I weep over the decadence and decay of the main line church which is helping fuel the evil than is engulfing our nation.

So many men, including church leaders, are bound by their own lust. Not all have hooked up with a prostitute but they spend hours pouring over internet porn and the only things they   have to show for it are broken fellowship with the Lord, and little damp spots on the floor at the bottom of the computer screen.

How dreadful for churchgoers, who have followed some man- made rules and have had enough religion to make them miserable; they will cover their ears and stand in the shadows and scream when they hear Yeshua (Jesus) declare:

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  Matthew 7:21-23

The levity must cease! Our pusillanimous attitude toward holy and righteous living must end and now! If we are not willing to die for the Lord we are already dead in our sins!!!

My question is this: Must we inexorably follow the same perverted and demented path that other nations have followed before they fell from within? We must never forget that moral rot along with evil political choices will cause the collapse of a nation.

If we compromise in smaller things we will easily compromise in larger matters.

Jerry Garcia, of the Grateful Dead of all people made a strong and true statement: “Choosing the lesser of two evils is still evil”.

What can we do? We may not change the direction we are going as a country, but you can change the direction you are going as a person.  Choose to follow Yeshua (Jesus) now! Begin to make every choice directed by the Holy Spirit of God. Above all, make sure you really are a Christian and not a product of wrong Church doctrine! Make sure you believe; I mean really believe! The demons believe so much they tremble!

If you believe practice obedience, not sin!  Obey Him in in everything, beginning with water baptism and go from there! Simply follow Him day by day, as you die to self!

Indeed you are saved by grace through faith but your works will prove if you have faith or not! When you are really saved you become His son and His faithful slave, but you will not be a slave to sin – you will not practice sin!

How can we trample His grace and His blood on the ground by our love of sin?

We are where we are today because of our choices, which are indeed damning and they are indeed our own.
