Halloween - An Evil Wind  (Updated and Revised 10-23-09)

Just before I left work today, I  paused and had a  conversation with a friend of mine. The subject was one of my least favorites and lasted only a few minutes. He told me how much money he had spent on a Halloween costume.  If I remember the amount it was in excess of $65.00. My friend does not claim to have any kind  of deep  walk with the LORD.  I have made a few fruitless attempts to share the validity of a relationship with God with him, but with little or no success.  My friend is typi-12-cal of the individuals I work with, but what really grieves me is he is typical of the majority of those in and out of the Church and their observance of this evil day we call  Halloween.

My wife, Barb said: "Jack, there is an evil wind blowing."  She went on to express how so many are caught up in Halloween, especially this year, how people were misled and deceived over the election of Barack Obama and how his own evil agenda is sweeping our land that she could almost feel an evil wind blowing. I agree! It is a chilling and evil wind blowing throughout this nation. Do you feel it?

Halloween is second only to Christmas in what Americans spend.  I sadly admit many of the households that will participate and spend money on this day are "Christian".  Witch and vampire costumes are the top two leading costumes purchased and the most money is spent by individuals between the ages of 25 - 39 according to National Retail Federation (NRF).  I read in another survey that reported that we will spend  a whopping 40% more this year in 2009 on Halloween than last year; some surveys say slightly less, but either way it's a  travesty, and a sad commentary on our society. Remember this is when most Americans are cutting expenses down because of the economy.

Tom Sanguinet, a former high priest in Wicca said: "Halloween is a religious day, very religious, but has nothing to do with anything Christian. The modern holiday that we call Halloween has its origins in the full moon closest to November 1, the witches’ new year. It is a time when the spirits (demons) are supposed to be at their peak power and revisiting planet earth… Halloween is purely and absolutely evil, and there is nothing we ever have, or will do, that would make it acceptable to the Lord Jesus."

I have written numerous articles against Islam, but Muslims do not allow their children to participate in this holiday. Why? Because many Muslims are more dedicated  to their faith than most Christians.  

Halloween has it's roots in  paganism and witchcraft. It started with the Druid festival of Samhain. The Celts believed November 1^st  to be the day of death. This was  because in the  Northern hemisphere as the days became colder, as winter made its harsh self felt, and days drew shorter, the Celts  believed that their sun god was weakening and losing strength. They thought Samhain, the lord of death, was overpowering the sun god in some kind of battle.  In addition the Druids also taught that on the 31st of October, on the eve of the feast, Samhain called together the spirits who had died during the past year. They believed they would  return to their former home to visit the living. My wife is correct; there is an evil wind blowing.  This wind is coming from various  directions. It is  covering the surface of this country with all sorts of debauchery, wickedness, violence, and basically  an anti-Messiah spirit.  This evil wind is blowing out of Washington, it's blowing out of our court rooms, it's blowing from the majority of the news media, it's blowing from our music, movies, and  televisions. Most of all it's blowing from our corrupt hearts and that is fuelling all of the aforementioned   Do you feel this evil wind blowing? It is a chilling wind that is invading  our homes, our schools, and even our Churches. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND!!!! We are not just fighting a system gone to hell, but we are fighting satan himself. When we make Halloween out to be second only to Christmas then we have invited the demons of hell into our very homes and our hearts!

On  this evil day of Halloween, for thousands of years, Druid priests have conducted diabolical worship ceremonies in which all kinds of animals were sacrificed.   Cats, horses, sheep, cattle,  and even human beings, along with  other offerings were rounded up, stuffed into Wicca cages, and burned to death. Apparently these  sacrifices were  required to appease Samhain and prevent the spirits from harming them.To obtain these sacrifices, Druid priests would go from house to house asking for fatted calves, black sheep, and human beings. Those who gave were promised good fortune, health, and   prosperity, but anyone  who refused to give were threatened and cursed. So where did the origin of "Trick or Treat" originate from? Right form the Druids and their cultic practices.

This day of Halloween was never recognized as a holiday from the on start of our country because  our  founding fathers  knew it was a pagan holiday. Halloween was not widely celebrated in the U.S. until about 1900. A friend of mine gave me a 1956 addition of "The World Book  Encyclopedia". I looked up Halloween and there were less than 400 words written on the subject then I looked up Halloween on line at Wikepedia Free Encyclopedia and there were pages written if printed out - too many words for me to count. But this country is changing and even what is happening now we would have never thought would occur 30 years ago.  I feel the chilling and evil wind, do you also feel it?

1Co 10:20,21 “But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.” This Saturday children will go trick or treating, not only with the approval of their parents, but with their encouragement as well.  But the parents do not realize or seem to care that for over a thousand years this one evening is satan's evening - this one evening has been dedicated to witches, mediums, and the worship of satan. Schools celebrate it but most change the name to "Fall Festival" as do  many Churches. You can't put a mask on sin, or change its name, it is still sin!

The Druids believed that on Halloween night, ghosts, spirits, fairies, witches, and elves came out to harm people. These evil creatures must be placated with offerings of food. The Celts would go with their children to one another’s house to gather food for the devil gods. This is the most dangerous "holiday" in the year. For long ages, Halloween has been a night especially dedicated to satanic agencies. More evil is done this night than any night of the year. By the way, this time it falls on a Saturday, which is the Biblical Sabbath.

Have you noticed how costumes and masks are getting generally more bloody, gory, and depraved each year? Have you noticed how store displays on Halloween are growing and growing.  There are entire stores which sell nothing but Halloween items. 

We in this country have already crossed over the line by all sorts of abominations, but we add poison to the toxin by celebrating this most evil day. 

The evil wind blowing is largely by our own making. We are playing a perverted "Haarp" and  its  playing is creating a most destructive storm.  I could go and on, but this article is just as much about  a challenge as it is information. Do the research - look up the evils of Halloween on the web and see what you find. Finding the facts are not the problem or the issue. The issue and the problem are what do you do with them.

I know it is hard to be a parent in 2009 an it's also hard to be a grandparent, but when we compromise on something it starts a pattern that can never be broken and will only escalate. My friend and others will be alive, but maybe not so "alive and well" this October 31st.  Pray for my friend, and others find the real King of kings and the real Lord's of lords. Pray he and others will not be tricked by satan, not only about this evil day but about missing God altogether!

Do you feel the wind? It's an evil and chilling wind.  Stop practicing witchcraft! Get your house in order! God is not mocked!

If you say you are a Christian and you participate  in this evil, then I would suggest that you repent - for you are indeed dancing with the devil.
