Get Rid Of The Static

When I was 11 or 12 years old, I owned a battery operated transistor radio that was made in Japan. This was one of my favorite possessions. I would go to bed around 9:30 or 10:00 PM and immediately grab my radio along with my dog, Tinker, a mutt.  I would lay awake in bed, with Tinker, sometimes two or three hours, looking out my window at our well groomed backyard. I was fully occupied with finding certain stations on that radio, one    which was XERF, located  somewhere just over the border in Mexico, with a DJ named Paul Kellenger, who called himself “your good neighbor along the way”.  In addition to Paul Kellenger, I listened to other DJ’s such as Jim Low, and Ralph Emery, who is still alive today.  I still listen to the radio at night, but now it’s Christian and conservative talk shows I listen to.  Voices still blare out of my radio and the only difference is I have a wife in bed with me who has not been as tolerant of late night radio as Tinker was. Although my euphonious appetite for radio still exists, my wife is spared, thanks to a pair of l cordless ear phones that allows her to easily forgive my peccadillo.

But today, I am faced with the same problems I had over forty years ago – static. Like then, I become very frustrated when a station is blocked by static.  Static is still the culprit, it’s not the stations for they are powerful and doing their job - it’s that static.

We are in a Must Hear Time

I believe God is shouting out a warning of urgency more than any time in history. God is calling out a warning that must be heard! He is doing His job.  He is warning of all kinds of calamities, judgment, plagues, economic crashes, and other woes; many which have already begun. He is calling people, and especially the Church, to repent -  to “get real” with Him. He is calling the world as a whole to come to the cross and be washed in the blood of Yeshua. But hear, O Christian! Although He is shouting with all urgency,  only  a few hear. Many are  not receiving  a clear signal. There is too much static. The problem is NOT with God but with us.

What is causing Your Static?

I have written this article especially to myself, but perhaps some of you can benefit from it as well.

What is blocking you from hearing clearly from God as to what He is saying? Are you too busy with the cares of the world? Is it your job or business? Is it finances?  Have you fallen into sin? Have you become complacent? Are you bitter? Is it your health? Have others brought you down? Have family members interfered? Have you given up? The real question is: Why isn’t His voice resonating through your entire being?

Satan is using every tactic in today’s world and many can no longer hear from God. In many cases it’s simply the diurnal activities, the daily routines of life that beset us and cause enough static to keep us from hearing.

In other cases it’s out-right sin.   Pornography for example,  especially over the internet, is at an all time high and as a consequence many are bound and have been taken captive. There is an estimated 40,000 illegal child pornography sites alone and with the so-called right of free speech things will only get worse. The number of regular pornography sites is staggering and growing daily.   This type of static is so strong that it completely cuts God’s voice off. Those who are enslaved to this can never hear God; they are caught in a never-ending cycle.

Alcohol, drugs, appetite, slothfulness, addictions, and the like can also cause static in our lives. 

Static can be foisted on us in many ways and forms. We must have a clear channel with no interference if we are to have acute hearing and know what God is telling us.

Family Woes

I believe one of satan’s more strategic weapons in his war with the saints is using one’s family. That can mean the family you live with, or your extended family. Barb and I have been affected by hardship from family members and through no fault of their own, it has caused static. The fact is that family can certainly cause static and few of us are exempt.

     Very Dangerous Times

We are in most dangerous times. This is one reason we need to hear from the Lord, our hearing needs to be acute and sharp. There is no time for levity and the static must cease.

The footsteps are at the door. Our country is close to being reduced to a third world country or no country at all. We could very well experience an implosion.  As we continue to look for the enemy we will find that it’s not only terrorists who wish to destroy us, but many who are in our own government, some who call themselves U.S. Senators.

      Things to Come

1. More horrific weather

2. Terrorist attacks and war.

3. Economic collapses

 We will experience more horrific weather events. I still believe volcanoes will play a role as well as other weather disasters. Just wait and you will experience the most horrific   and bizarre weather patterns in history.

Do not forget we are in a war with terrorists and they are just waiting for a more Americans to fall into a little deeper sleep.  We are in World War III and it began on September the 11^th, 2001.

The Middle East is a powder keg and Iran may very well be the match that will ignite the explosion. This area will continue to be the hot-bed from now on.   

Many Americans are playing the role of fools. Islam is not our friend. Au-contraire! Islam  is one of our worst nightmares. Perhaps through the liberal media many have fallen victim to what is referred to as the “Stockholm syndrome”. The Stockholm syndrome is basically a psychological response, sometimes and often in a hostage situation. The hostage exhibits a type of loyalty to the captor, even though the hostage is in great danger. This is what is happening to many Americans. We are falling in love with those who would love  to be our  captors.   I may write an entire article on this and call it “Perverted love with Islam” or something like that.

Although much awaits us, there is great danger in date setting. When a so-called prophet or  a watchman, or any well-meaning person  sets a date and the event does      not come to fruition, the only thing accomplished is fuel for complacency  from the hearers. The cry that the wolf is coming has too often been cried. I have yet to set dates on anything and the only prophecy I have ever put in my newsletter is the one by Dimitri Duduman, which I still think will come to pass.  I have alluded to one or two others on my website. But again we need to be careful on date setting - very careful!!

Yet, war with countries like China and Russia are very likely. The bear is only playing possum, while the eagle is sleeps. The above is a paraphrase of an old quote regarding Russia and the United States. Russia is not our friend and neither is Red China. They are joined together at the hip in an attempt to bury us. Iran is chomping at the bit to eat us alive!

All the above will lead to an economic crash and disaster. Our computers will crash and  for awhile become useless. An EMP attack could be the catalyst for this to happen. Also know that disease will break out in this country as well as other parts of the world. 

 We must prepare physically, but unless we are renewed and endowed with the Holy Spirit of God then all is in vain.

You want to know about static? It’s all around us. It’s the cares of the world. It’s  family, friends, foes, and  finances that produce fear. And fear is static! But static is basically interference from within, our own rebellion and un-belief.  We are the interference. We search for the enemy and it is us.  The fact is we love our sin more than we love God. We are caught up in every kind of perversion, self-righteousness, lying, pride, addiction, greed, lust, envy, gluttony,    meanness, murder, violence, witchcraft, slothfulness, rape,   and on and on to infinity.  We are in bed with satan himself and we raise our head in arrogance to a Holy God while we fornicate in His face.

Some of us have become professional church players. We have a church-house god whose powers leave him as soon as we leave the church building. We have never known the God of the Bible - the Yahweh that is revealed through Yeshua.

Islam is not our main enemy, neither is China, Russia, Iran, or any other country or religion. Once we learn that the main enemy outside of satan, is us, then victory can be in sight. Once we learn to die to  self, once our flesh is destroyed, then victory will be in reach.

The Jack Hunter Survival Course.

I am prepared to give you the Jack Hunter Survival course. This course is guaranteed to work. You can go  to work-shops on survival and read books, but in a few sentences I have the solution that is guaranteed to not only keep you safe but to make a winner out of you in the face of your enemies.  

The survival course is embodied in two old songs of the church and those two songs take in some of the main teachings of the Torah and much of what we call the New Testament. They are  “I Surrender All” BY J.W. Van Deventer and  “Trust and Obey” written by J.H. Sammis. If we learn to surrender and all that entails and if we learn to trust (believe) and obey, then and only then will we be victorious Christians.

"To obey is greater than sacrifice."

The problem  with the Children of Israel was that they did not believe, they did not trust the Lord God of Israel. They were free of the boundaries of Egypt, but still held captive. We cannot be a holy people apart from belief.

The problem with us is that we don’t believe.  Few of us really believe. When I use the word believe I am using it in the full Biblical strength. Believe and trust are synonymous. The proof of belief is obedience. We cannot  obey  until the self is broken and we experience absolute  surrender.

 We are a nation who needs heroes! But there are heroes. Joshua, one of my heroes, first steps into clear view in the thirteenth and fourteenth chapters of Numbers. Up to that point, we see only occasional references to Joshua as Moses' servant.  It was Joshua who was content to stand in the shadows of the greatest and wait - nothing else - just wait - be obedient, and wait.  It was Joshua who was honored to be one of the twelve spies sent into the Promised Land, along with his cohort in faith, Caleb. It was Joshua and Caleb who gave the good report when they returned after viewing the Promise Land.   But their   enthusiasm turned to anger as they heard ten of the spies give disparaging reports to Moses and the people. They tore their clothes in anger, but the people listened to the other ten instead of Joshua and Caleb.

Who are we listening to? The ten? Folks can cause static, especially religious and church folks.  In the name of Yeshua hear me! There is an all out attack on true believers and much of the attack is coming and will continue to come from the religious crowd.  We must be strong, we must be willing to stand alone if necessary. We must tear our clothes as Joshua and Caleb did and give a good report, no matter what the cost!

 “Times they are a changing” and for the worse. I am having to learn and re-learn some spiritual truths. I know the only real safe place is in Him. We must abide in Yeshua in the Holy of Holies, in The Ark of safety, in the cleft of the Rock. Yea, we must trust, obey, and surrender. “ALL to Him, I surrender…” is the only answer and that is how  to survive. Trust and Obey and say with Paul:                                        

Nay, in all things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Romans 8:37

No, this is not really  my survival course,  but the one laid out in scripture and the only one that will really work. So I beseech you: Return to your first love, go back to Bethel, know Him, love Him,  fall at His feet and repent.  Do the things you know you must do. You do not need me to write it out for you. Know what it means to enter into His rest and to dwell in the Holy of Holies. It is only under His aegis, under His protection, and in the wearing his armor, that we are going to survive.

Living in the Holy of Holies in a way is enigmatic and abstruse, and can never be obtained apart from entering in by faith through His blood. Any idea that we can enter in by our own efforts can only be greeted by repugnance and total renouncement!  We can do nothing but fail in our own efforts. But through Christ we can do all things.

 I have had so many false starts and “back-sidings”, and static has too often impaired my hearing, that part of me is ashamed  to even write this newsletter, much less carry on this ministry. But I am not going to quit! I am still a watchman and although not one of renown, not even one of consistency, I am one just the same. I have hurt some by my delay in writing, others I have hurt by my writing, but I must keep writing for it burns within me. I too must learn to abide, not just for a day or two, or a week or so, but from now on. I praise God that the static has weakened   and I am once again hearing what the Spirit is saying.  I ask for your prayers for I also struggle, but I know the truth and I pray I will walk in that truth daily.

I will also be praying for you.  It’s my prayer that you will know Yeshua in a deeper way than ever, that the static will cease, and you will enter into His rest.

Now may the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob bless you through His Son Yeshua.
