The Gauntlet (3-23-05)

The disparaging  news that two of the three judges of the Federal Court of Appeals voted to continue with the  murder of Terri Schiavo fully awakened me about  1:30  this  morning .  A few minutes later I heard another news story about a Federal Judge in Texas who overturned the execution of  Stephen Kenneth Staley,  for murdering  restaurant  manager, Robert Reed,  over 15 years ago.  This was too much!  Here were two news stories that were the antithesis of each other on moral ground. We murder the innocent and save the guilty.  I had to take a break from the news for awhile. I turned my radio dial  to an all-night Christian station and for about an hour listened  to some soothing praise and worship music,  yet I couldn't sleep,  my head was swimming regarding this whole ordeal about Terri and her pending murder. In a few more minutes I got up and started writing  this article.

Our nation is in great peril. There is a battle taking place between good and evil. The Terri Schiavo case is Nazism revisited, and as horrific as the Schiavo case is  the residue of this event will spread over the entire country. The aftermath of Terri's pending murder will soon  become bigger than Terri and the event itself. I believe a gauntlet has been thrown on the ground. A gauntlet was a type of medieval glove. One would throw down the gauntlet to accept or extend a challenge to fight.  We have been challenged by evil.  The gauntlet has been thrown down. What will we do with the gauntlet?

I received  a letter from a lady who reads our newsletter in New Hampshire. She was correctly depicting the real source of many of our nation's  ills. She expressed that Christian apathy is how we got to where we are today. We have not accepted the challenge to stand against evil.  We as a Church have fallen away from the faith, we pay attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.  We have walked away from the gauntlet.

I believe when a law is wicked and  amoral  then that law should not only be verbally disputed,  but disobeyed. We are to obey God not man. If we remain indifferent  to the evil court rulings,  by their pro-death agenda,  then we are constructing  our own gallows.

I like the way Martin Nieoeooer put it: "First they came for the socialist and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade's  unionist and I did not speak out because I was not a trade's unionist. Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then  they for me and there was no one left to speak for me."

Where will you stand? It's not only on the Terri Schiavo case, but on "what is right" in general.? We abort our babies, we condone sin, especially perverted sin,  and we change truth into a lie. We are changing laws to make them  immoral and that is wrong!  How long will we tolerate this evil of lunacy? What will we do with the gauntlet? I for one will choose to obey God rather than immoral judges.

Thank God,  one judge out of the three on the Schiavo  case had enough decency to vote a moral vote. Please hear me! If this evil of lunacy continues and true Christians resist, then it's the true Christians who will become the enemies of the state. A gauntlet has been thrown down. Will we dare pick it up, cross over and enter into battle, stand there and debate the fine points, or just turn and walk away? The gauntlet is on the ground, what will we do?

The Schiavo case is a well lit  beacon.  It's a chilling call of truth to decent people to stand and fight against  this hatred for life, and basically this hatred for anything moral or Christian.   Euthanasia is the main word in all this.  This is the real  agenda of the courts. This case will open a Pandora's box to kill anyone someone may deem not worthy of life. Please understand what I am saying: The battle has begun. The enemy may be those of your own household.

I call on Bible believing Christians, Bible believing Jews, and all who cherish life to join together to take up the challenge and fight this evil agenda.  Our Judeo-Christian heritage, morality itself is being blatantly destroyed by evil judges like George Greer  and attorneys like George Felos, Michael Schiavo's  attorney. This whole pro-death group and they are many, have thrown down a gauntlet,  will we pick  that gauntlet up? Will we speak out on the demonic influences that are destroying this Nation, or bury our heads in the sand?

I have been awake since 1:30 AM,  but perhaps I am more awake than ever and see things so clearly.  I see the tyranny all around us. I see the power of wicked judges and I see many in the Church following the system to hell itself.  I must get involved more than ever!  I hope you do to. Terri Schiavo is a hero. If she is murdered,  I pray her death was not in vain. We must make some decisions now, and they will be difficult at best, but trying to swim in a quagmire is even more challenging. The gauntlet is on the ground, what will we do?
